Why yoga?

Have you ever found yourself starting a new workout routine or some new lifestyle and getting bored with it pretty quick? Does it ever feel like this is sustainable for the long-term?
That’s me. I’ve tried running, then that was boring. I’ve tried going to the gym and taking classes and that was boring. I’ve tried home workouts - boring. I’ve tried just working out at the gym, and besides being confused, that gets super boring. I didn‘t know why until I focused on a physical yoga practice. I don’t mean cross-training with yoga, but drop everything else and just do the yoga.
Then after a few months I started showing up, not just for the physical benefits, but the mental benefits. Not just the mental calmness, but the intellectual stimulation. There’s so much to learn. Without the philosophy aspect of yoga, it’s just another exercise routine.
So if you’re bored, maybe your mind is idled and needs a workout too. Give yoga a try.
